Which category/categories should I choose?
There are many categories you can choose to submit to. We always recommend selecting the category where your work stands out the most. If you have a very technical project, maybe a category like "instrumentalist" is for you. If it's an experimental project that pushes the bounds of your genre, maybe "innovation in sound" is the best category. For the best chance to be awarded, be sure to select categories that compliment the best parts of your work.
Can I submit music from past years/unreleased music?
We have no standing rule on the release date of entries. You are welcome to submit albums and works from past years as well as unreleased music so long as we receive it by the entry deadline. We will never host your intellectual property.
Can I resubmit the same entry to a new season?
You may submit the same project to a new season, although such entries typically receive the same results.
My entry is bigger than 10mb, how should I submit it?
If your entry can't be uploaded directly to our form, please submit a file sharing or streaming link.
What links are acceptable to submit on the entry form?
Filesharing links are most preferred. We accept any source but prefer Dropbox, Google Drive, and Mega. If you submit an entry with a WeTransfer link or otherwise temporary service, please contact [email protected] so we can be sure to recieve it before the files expire. Streaming links are also accepted. Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and Youtube Music are our most preferred.
Do I need to send in a CD or physical copy and if so how many?
Sending in physical copies of music is not required, although we do accept them. If you choose to send one, please include a digital link with your entry in the case of postal error or delays. We prefer more than one copy in the off-chance of file corruption, although it is not necessary.
